| Ecrew Atlantic City - WillisNYC If you missed this weekend, you missed a fabulous time
had by most of the ecrew. Personally, I loved meeting several eCrew in
person for the first. People do NOT necessarily 'fit' their online name
or your impression of them....and then some folks like Raisor definitely
DO fit their names. We actually had 2 1/2 NL tables featuring ecrewers
on different nights this w/e with the first being MUCH tamer than the
2nd one! The first one was great as a 'get to know you' kind of session
as 11 of us had a great time in a private game at the Trop. My personal
highlight that night had to be busting StickNMud with my AA on the button
as his 55 thought I was 'stealing' on my button for the 45th consecutive
time. His large reraise was met by a long think and an all in push from
me. The look on Chet's face was priceless when his call was met by my
flipped up AA. No help for him on the board and gg StickNMud. Admittedly, I was drunk and quite obnoxious and totally egged on by Mr Clec of course! However I was quite stunned by this over reaction on the part of the newly named Mr. Joe! I was also 3 sheets to the wind at this point and totally unable to defend myself if Mr. Joe ever tried to make good on his threat. Somehow, despite my total innebriation, I managed to NOT call him anything but Mr. Joe for the small amount of time that he remained on the table and my head thankfully stayed attached to my shoulders! I think AngryCLEC nailed Mr. Joe's rebuy of chips and he slunk away so quietly that I did not even notice! Fortunately for Clec, very, expensive wine does little to impair his poker abilities and he and Raisor who had now also joined the table began to build enormous stacks. My ability to just remain upright at the table was strained by trying to match Clec's drinking ability, so I soon clawed my way from the table and wobbled all the way to my room. It was only 11PM. The next morning I woke up and realized that I was so inebriated that I had left my chips at the table! I checked with the staff and they had my chips!! I then found out that I was only down about $250 for my obnoxious and drunken efforts the night before! (Mostly thanks to Mr CLECs equal ability at absorbing alcohol and my chips!) At 1AM the next day when I rejoined Biggy and Clec for a little 'after action review' I found out the real reason that Mr. King Ten was so enraged. Mr. King Ten thought Clec and I were gay lovers and couldn't believe that two 'drunken, gay gamblers' were absolutely devastating his poker bankroll! I laughed so hard I thought I would cry because we are both very straight and I had no idea that two friends sharing a bottle of wine at the table = drunken gay men to a total redneck with a short fuse! I also learned that the drunken gay man aka AngryCLEC walked away with over $1700 profit from this 'interesting' 1/2 NL table from hell. Raisor also had a substantial profit. (BTW, if some of the details are a little off...well I was REALLY, REALLY inebriated but the basic facts above were all verified in the after action review the next day!)Regardless, best regards to all the ecrewers who made the trip and I can't wait to rejoin all of them at the next gathering! (Also kiddies, I wouldn't recommend playing poker while slightly inebriated, let alone totally polluted as I was!)
