Hardware: Computer Systems and Accessories Playing online poker with a slow computer is like playing at a casino with a slow dealer. It's not profitable and can be very frustrating. If you are going to be serious about online poker you'll need to get a solid system that can run all the programs you need to succeed without any problems. Luckily most online poker rooms and the companion programs we recommend are not very processor intensive and they can be run on any reasonably new machine. Our recommended machines below will work well and if you build your own machine instead just make sure you have a reasonably fast processor and lots of RAM (1 GB at the very least). With that in mind you should be able to find a PC for less than a thousand dollars that will run well and last you a few years. A system like the one below will do a fine job, and you'll still be happy with it's performance a year from now, no matter how many tables you are playing. Visionman
